Sourdough bread

Cumpanis is a small bakery based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We only do sourdoug bread, using the best ingredients and respecting artisanal processes such as kneading and forming by hand.

``Cumpanis`` means company in Latin

It literally means “with bread” “with whom the bread is shared”.
The word itself holds the idea of sharing. The bread transforms the table into a home. It unites friends and family. There is no greater sign of love than sharing the best bread.

The real bread

Our bread is made of only 3 ingredients.
Flours of the best quality, sea salt, and purified water.
We do no use enhancers, preservers, additives. We do not use yeast.
More importantly: we do not use grease or oil. We do not use sugar

We do bread in it’s simplest, noblest way.
